Cookie Policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
This policy explains which cookies Pro Software Key LTD uses on prosoftwarekey.com, what each one is for, and exactly how to change or withdraw your choice. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal data generally.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work at all — keeping your basket, keeping you signed in, protecting the checkout. Others are optional and only tell us how the site is being used.
How to change your choice
When you first arrive we ask you before setting anything that is not strictly necessary. Nothing optional is loaded until you accept it.
To change your mind later, click Cookie settings in the footer of any page. The banner reopens and you can accept or refuse each category again. Your choice takes effect immediately and replaces the previous one.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary ones, the basket and the checkout will stop working.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are always on. They do not track you and we cannot switch them off.
- wp_woocommerce_session_*, woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart — remember what is in your basket while you shop. Set by WooCommerce, our shop software. They last from a few hours up to two days.
- wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-* — keep you signed in to your account and remember your account screen settings. Only set if you have an account and sign in.
- __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid — set by Stripe, which processes our payments, to detect fraudulent card use at checkout. They last up to one year and 30 minutes respectively.
- psk_consent_v1 — our own cookie. It records the cookie choice you made, so we do not ask you again on every page. It lasts 6 months and contains nothing but your answer.
Analytics cookies — only if you accept
- _ga, _ga_FVLVYK9K21 — set by Google Analytics 4. They give each browser a random identifier so we can count visitors and see which pages and products are used. They do not tell us your name or email address. They last up to 2 years, and Google keeps the event data for up to 14 months.
If you refuse this category, Google Consent Mode keeps the tag in a cookieless state: no analytics cookie is written and no identifier is stored.
Marketing cookies
We do not currently run advertising or retargeting on this website, so nothing is set in this category today. The banner still offers it, because our consent signals are sent to Google and we would rather ask you now than start using it quietly later. If that ever changes, this page and the banner will list exactly what is used, before it is used.
Third-party content
Our home page shows a Trustpilot review widget, which is loaded from Trustpilot’s own servers. Trustpilot may set its own cookies when that widget loads, under Trustpilot’s cookie policy rather than ours.
